Organized Taxes mean an Organized Life

It’s tax time again.  All of your 1099s, W2s, 1098s, etc – and all of those other tax documents were due in the mail by 1/31/16.  Now that they have arrived (we hope), how will you organize them and hold onto them?    Here are some quick ideas:

  1. Store with all of your materials and documents in a folder, clearly labeled.
  2. Scan and save them digitally (keep originals)
  3. Take pictures of each document and email the jpg to yourself
  4. Schedule a time / time block on your calendar a date with yourself in February (and March – and April, right before deadline) to hold space to engage, fill out the forms – and hopefully plan for a refund.
